Ground floor

The full-height living area, taking up the entire left  half of the cottage, has exposed beams and a large fireplace with a wood-burning stove.This space offers comfortable seating and dining for four with double doors opening onto the terrace.

 


 

 

 

A fully equipped kitchen area takes up one corner of the living space, this has good quality fitted units and a pine dresser.


 

 

 

 

 


The master bedroom has a standard size double bed, two bedside tables and lamps, a large chest of drawers and an under-stairs wardrobe. It enjoys direct access to the patio and good views of the garden.

 

The shower room and WC are located behind the ground floor bedroom and accessed from the corridor that leads from the living area. There is a generous shower cubicle with thermostatic mixer controls, wash basin and cabinet.

 

First Floor

The upstairs bedroom is accessed via steep stairs (a stair gate can be fitted on request). It is a large room with beamed ceiling and Velux roof-light. There are two 2 metre single beds, a wardrobe, bedside table and a shelf unit. There is a small window to the front and original pigeon holes.


 
 

 

 


Exterior

 

The secluded garden lies to the front of the cottage with a southery aspect, and is contained within a waist-high stone wall. The main area is grassed and surrounded by flower and shrub beds. The mature Albezia (silk tree) provides shade. There are views over the adjacent pasture land. There is a tiled terrace directly in front of the house for outdoor dining and relaxing.

At the entrance of the property there is hard-standing for a car and the stone-built barn that has been restored and converted to house the washing machine, and provide storage for bikes, surf boards etc.
